| So, we reach the end. While season 2009 goes on for another five weeks, Friday night is it for the Eagles 2009 campaign, with a final outing against the Tiggers. Probably not the match of the round. Or the one after that either - indeed this may be the match with the least interest of this week's fixtures for those not of Eagle or Tiger persuasion.

| The Eagles have come back to earth with a major thud this afternoon, courtesy of the Adelaide Crows. Arguably the worst display of the season ended with a 74 point belting and undoing the great work done over the past few weeks.

| As we wind toward the end of a pretty mediocre season, we finally come face to face with our favourite bunnies of this decade, the Crows, or otherwise known as the Crowbunnies. Now, while you've got to have a fair bit of respect for the Crows, the best thing about them has been how they lost a couple of Preliminary Finals to us - including that one they had us on toast over at the Girly Ground, a week before cup number three arrived in the trophy cabinet.
