Camera sucks, i think i've used it once ever. It's very easy to use but there are a few menus that are sort of hidden from u.

Sony Ericsson K610i

Went for this one because I like the simple format, no flip phone or one of those sliding ones. The Keypad is very simple, it looks hot, good camera with very funny "photo warp" function. Love it :!:

Nokia 1100(old school) mobile phones are really waste of money, they can cost you a lot of money if you are on a contract.

Nokia 6230. It's what work gave me, and since they pay the bills, I think its a great phone. Never had any trouble with it. We are upgrading to some sort of Blackberry shortly, so that will be an interesting transition (since I'm only really interested in the phone for its phone-like qualities).

i just recently got the nokia 6280, quite like it, pretty good camera, pretty good features and is quite easy to use and is a nice size. Just got rid of the sony ericson z800i, was the shittest phone i ever had, thing pretty much died on me. Connections at bottom corroded and i could charge the thing and then after a while when i managed to charge it i couldnt even turn the damn thing on. But i am happy with the nokia i have at the moment

Having taken delivery of my Nokia 6288 yesterday, I'm very happy with it so far, touch wood. I've set it up so that pretty much everything I use (camera, SMS, contacts, music player, radio) is one touch or on a shortcut, very easy to access. I put a 1GB memory card in it which I've quarter filled (about 80 songs), music player is good, radio reception is a bit dodgy sometimes but generally OK. The two pics I've taken came out pretty well too.

The battery ran out after a day's hard use, lots of uploading, listening to music and cricket TV, a couple of long calls, and even the odd video call ... the manual said that it'll improve (that was only first charge) but I'd guess 3-4 hours' use, not too bad. As long as I get at least 4 days between charges on normal (light) use anyway ... :P

Sony Ericsson k800i. Someone had to didn't they?

Great phone, did not regret my decision to get it. Got it on that handy new $29 Cap on 3 as well, great for the cricket, although the live tv is nowhere near as good as they make it out to be on the ads..

As for the rest of the phone, its pretty simple and easy to use once you get used to the Sony Ericsson way after using Nokia for a number of years.

Disadvantages are the size, but its not too bad. Compared with the size of phones you can get these days its about as big as they were a couple of years ago, so I can manage. As you can expect, the screens pretty good so you have to be careful not to scratch it.

Advatanges are of course the camera. Very, very good quality. The slide on it is pretty nifty, although it does undo in your pocket from time to time, which is kinda annoying. Everything else about it works well too, great battery life. Last 3 - 4 days depending on how much cricket you watch. Could do with some more memory, but you have to pay for that, has pretty decent sound as well if you can be bothered uploading music etc onto it.

*Bump*

I just upgraded last week from my SE T610

To a SE W850i Walkman phone. I've never really been too bothered about getting a portable MP3 player, so this is the perfect way for me to go about it. Thus far, it rocks my world.

k800i.

Fantastic phone, great camera and easy to connect with a computer (which is a problem I've had in the past). Upgraded from the LG U8360, which despite being a bit chunky lasted me a long time (and a hell of a lot of drops).

This is a question to people with Motorola flip phones (V3 etc); have you had any problems with them? I swear that everyone I know who has one has had to get it repaired/replaced.

I've had a V3x for a few months now. No problems with it at all, but, MY GOD, the iTap texting system it uses is utter crap!!!! It's a good idea in principle, but in practice it doesn't remember enough words, and some of its suggested words are completely whack. Just today, I wanted the word 'as' (i.e. 2, 7) and it gives me 'cr'(eam). WHY?????!?!

I am sure I use the word 'as' quite a bit more often than the word cream.

Does anyone know if there's a T9 java program I can install in it?

Most people warned me off getting one but I have never had problems with it. Until now. It seems as though sand is in the screen. A friend of mine with a V3 had the same problem and it eventually became a black dot and fried her phone.

So. Im going to have to get a new phone soon. I like the V3 but getting another one that might die in a year or so is pretty pointless.

I had a motorola V3, and like last week I got like 8 text messages in a row because I told my mum some good news, and she told all of her mates and they all texted me at once. and it completely stuffed up my phone.

I would be texting, and it would just exit out of my text message, or I would be scrolling down my phone book and it would just automatically go to the letter T...Kinda odd.

But yeah I got a new phone on a plan. With Vodafone, got that Nokia 6288, its pretty gooood :D
