Mark LeCras came into the side for a couple of games in 2005, but his first standout game was kicking five goals in the last round of the 2006 season. While a poor followup in the first final saw LeCras out of the team, he was pencilled in as a potential goalkicker from then on, eventually becoming a regular in the team in the latter part of 2007.
Like so many Eagles over the period, LeCras had a bad run with injuries, missing much of the early part of season 2008; he did however return to the side and was quite productive both on the scoresheet and around the ground - but it was in 2009 when LeCras came into his own, taking on the role of small goalkicking forward and filling that role better than anyone else in the AFL. |
