A scion of the Ebert footballing family famous in South Australia, Brad was a very highly touted selection going into the draft, and considered a certainty to go to the Crows if no one took him first. Inexplicably though he was let slide to the Eagles pick at 13, a pick where the club has a tradition of taking quality South Australian products including Shannon Hurn and Beau Waters.
Ebert will be looked at as a part of the rebuild of the West Coast midfield brigade over the next couple of years, and has been very positive about his move to the club; indeed his efforts in his early seasons give West Coast fans much to be hopeful about. |
