Club has had a very good draft year. Add in Culley from the mid season and we have a bright young brigade coming through.

What is the deal with a category b rookie? can they still play or are they just hanging around during training. Have any category B rookies ever gone on to actually play, other than the COX at the pies.

I think I'm right in saying the category only refers to where the player was sourced from. As far as playing rules go its same for category A & B rookies - so if the club doesn't have a full quota of veterans or someone goes on the LTI list, any rookie list player can be elevated. I may stand corrected on it but reasonably sure that's the story.

Judging by emotional response, most of the new pick-ups seemed happy. Ginbey seemed over joyed. Mackenzie to the hawks seemed the happiest. Phillipou seemed quite disappointed. But I guess he is going to st kilda. Its like being trained as a chef and getting a job at MacDonald's. Barnett seemed happy too. The essendon guy looked scared.

Not just this image https://www.afl.com.au/news/870170/updated-the-full-rundown-on-every-club-s-2022-draft-haul but it seems similar . Buslinger doesn'tseemthat stoked.
