Tremendous WAFL player on his day, but his disposal is generally nowhere near good enough to justify a spot on the Eagles list at this stage of rebuilding. And I am a fan. He might get a gig somewhere like Brisbane.

There must be a reason why he hasn't been picked up yet...perhaps that's it. Leave him to Freo.

There is the story that clubs aren't interested because he refuses to quit motocross racing. Not sure how true it is because I can't see anyone being that stupid.

Be interesting to see who we pick outside of Newman tomorrow.

Eli Templeton?

Although apparently he isn't the fastest around.

I don't know how to imbed videos, but if you have a look at Nic Bourke's highlight package, is this guy not worth a punt? Looks an absolute class act in the air across midfield, which is something we need. Kicking looks good in package, but not sure how to get results of kicking test, which I think has some merit. It is about technique, despite no opponents being there. As a 17 year old, that is very important.

Looks well built. Might be worth a shot on the rookie list. That left foot of his looks deadly.

Who is this Rohan Powell??

A medium midfielder who can also go forward. A driven individual and genuine student of the game. His clearance work and ability to make the right decisions under pressure are features of his game, as is his hard running.

Uh oh, Weaknesses: Disposal efficiency. Speed sounds good though. Be interesting to watch him in the WAFL.
The two knocks on Maginness are his poor disposal efficiency and the fact that he doesn’t kick many goals. The first problem often comes as a result of his pace – sometimes he is running so fast that he doesn’t give himself time to execute a good kick. In the game against the Knights, he had 24 kicks, 11 of which were ineffective.

Apologies to Streaker - have edited original post.

Now don't go getting all Zac Beeck on me Sico.

Good list though - can I add Laurie Belotti? I'll never forget Big Laurie because we named a racehorse after him and they had eerily similar careers!

He appears to be the type of player we are looking for. It claims his disposal efficiency flaws can be attributed to running a full pace. With additional fitness and astute coaching, I'm sure he will rectify that part of his game. Very pleased with the choice.

Shall we go through Claremont's production of AFL players? I'd dare say it is better reading than East Perth....

Lets also look at Claremont Colts over the last, say, 10 years:

2013 - won
2012 - third
2011 - runners up
2010 - third
2009 - won
2008 - fourth
2007 - runner up
2006 - runner up
2005 - third
2004 - fourth

Starting to understand why Claremont players get picked more often than Royals?

Also, East Perth colts results:

2013 - 7th
2012 - 6th
2011 - 9th
2010 - 7th
2009 - 9th
2008 - 3rd
2007 - 6th
2006 - won
2005 - 4th
2004 - 5th

You are right, East Perth and the other 7 clubs can only dream of breeding the types of players I listed that WCE drafted from Claremont in just the last five odd years.
