The list and its future

anyone know how the Inactive List works?

So the AFL has finally introduced an Inactive List. (Presumably to help Sydney with the Tipspurt fiasco)

Together with the ability to fill places in the pre-season period and mid-season draft.

Anyone know how it actually works? Can clubs take players off the list during the season, or is it a one-way deal?

If a club suffers an injury or retirement, a list spot can be created by placing a player on an inactive list, and they can now be replaced by a rookie player.
