Every team is now asking far more than what they originally would have asked for.

Freo asked Saints for pick 6, next years first and third rounders.
Prictorian Media:
That's so wrong, Hill's partner wants to go home so Freo should make it happen.
I's perfectly ok for him to chose just ONE out of TEN teams in Melbourne
It doesn't matter that he's contracted, his family comes first.
It doesn't mean anything that the Saints have offered him $900k a year ($200k more than Kelly) he's not worth anything near what they're asking.
The AFL should intervene and force Freo to trade.

Interesting - the pick just before North Melbourne

We must have a player that we expect Rawlings may also like

Maybe they're just bored. Rookie upgrades count, so they only need a few real picks. We have 46 and 91. They might have an eye on someone hidden from the other clubs in the bush leagues.

Not a bad deal, and its what I hoped to see.
We must take 3 picks in the draft, but we can use the garbage picks to upgrade rookies. Watson and Edwards are definitely deserving. That leaves one pick to use on a straggler, and obviously getting it as far up the order as possible all helps.
Ok, 6 places isn't much, but its better than nothing, and #64 was going to be wasted anyway.

And lets not forget that we have picked up some damn good players in the 3rd round.
(We can cross our fingers, toes, arms, & legs, and pray Elijah Taylor somehow slips that far.)

Langdon is now a Demon
The Demons handed over picks No.22, 79 and a future second-round selection for the 23-year-old, while the Dockers gave up Langdon, pick No.26 and a future fourth-round selection.

That's about what I figured, except for the future 4th rounder going back. That pegs his value at around 800 points, which I think is spot on. I thought they might have held out for maybe 900, bu I think that's fair.

46 is only 9 picks off of what Saints want for Jack Steven.

The Dees have sent Frost to the Hawks in an extremely bizarre trade.
The Demons traded Frost, picks No. 42, 61 and a future fourth-rounder in exchange for pick No.50 and a future second-round selection.

That values Frost around 200 points, and barely seems worth it. he most valuable pick in that equation is the future 2nd round pick, which seems a strange priority for the Dees. Especially when you consider that if Hawthorn do better and improve their finish a few places, it will completely wipe out any value in the trade.

Great idea, lets ask the question! Does he really want to go home to the cold dull Geelong beaches or would his health be better if he came over to the warm sunny Perth beaches? It'd be worth it just to see the look on the Geelong admin faces

Geelong wouldn’t want to pay Stevens salary. Most clubs would be happy with pick 37 for a quality 7 game player. See this article below has him as one of the leagues highest paid players. We couldn’t afford him either. St kilda want him off the books, there going to have to give Geelong something to get him off the books
https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-03-06/six-milliondollar-men-as-player-salaries-go-up-again

The 18 clubs paid a total of $240.4 million, before deductions which incorporated injury allowances, finals incentives and veterans' list payments.

Dayne Beams (Brisbane-listed last year), Carlton's Patrick Cripps and Marc Murphy, Geelong pair Patrick Dangerfield and Joel Selwood, Sydney's Josh Kennedy and West Coast's Josh Kennedy, and Jack Steven (St Kilda), would have been among the highest paid players last year.

Fuck I hate Geelong.

They've spent a year getting inside Steven's head, promising him a move closer to home to make live easier. Now, predictably, they are trying fuck St Kilda, and in the process screwing with his life.

I don't know what his mental health issues are, or if indeed any club would want him with that baggage, but don't fuck with his life.
At this time last season, he was the Saints best player, and still one of the better mids in the comp.
But of course Geelong just have to screw everybody.

Edit: They've got him for pick 58. Fuck I hate those pricks.

We should try to get a deal done with Melbourne, before whomever is responsible for their trades comes down off the high from whatever they're been smoking.

They have received pick 8,
and given up 26, 50, and their first round pick from next year. Which is undoubtedly going to be a better pick than the one they received.

Its a shame always thought he was a chance for us and could of gone well

oh well cannot get them all :?

His passage from Cockburn to Moorabbin was eventually finalised on Wednesday afternoon, with the Dockers receiving picks 10 and 58 in this year's NAB AFL National Draft, a future second-round selection and future fourth-round selection, as well as Blake Acres.

The Saints receive a future third-round selection in return.

Well, nice to see we're not the only club paying stupidly over the top. But then again Hill was contracted, so the Saints had no choice.

Just a pity its the Muppets who benefit again, ad really pissed to see Acres go there. He has wanted to return to Perth, but only to play for us. Told the Muppets to fuck off last time around.

Geelong and the Muppets have made out like bandits in this trade period. Talk about paying stupid prices for players. Not sure who was dumber, us or St Kilda.

Oh, the Saints for sure, that's a stupid trade for somebody who's not even that good. Hill's a very good player, but not great.
The Irony is that Acres is about where Hill was when they got him from the Hawks. 23~24 starting to come into his prime.
Acres has a lot of upside and could still become a very good player.
If you value him at around the same as say Langdon, then the Saints have paid ~3,000 points for Hill, almost what we paid for Kelly.

The Feral Cats have also made out like bandits, getting Steven and Jenkins for the proverbial bag of crisps.
