According to the AFL site, this game has been moved to enable the Saints to fly straight home.

Would be nice to back up the beating of the Balcatta Under 12's with a solid win over the Saints who on their day can be a real handful.

Shuey will probably miss, so an opportunity for Xavier O'Neil? Kennedy straight back in (Williams out? Although I think they need to keep playing him).
Oh noooo....the front door's exploded!!!

Be nice if the AFL scheduled eagles games to suit the best travel outcome for them...

I understand that the Melbourne lockdown will be extended so if the VFL accommodated the Saints to fly home, they will be flying back into a lockdowned state and, unless state governments are prepared to continue granting special favours to the VFL, would throw the next round of fixtures potentially into chaos.

As I write this post, I can see that South Australia has just announced level 4 restrictions. Level 4 restrictions include no team or club sport.

Rowan Marshal out of saturdays game as he has to remain in isolation as been to exposure site in Melbourne. Always play well against us, NicNat to have field day.

We really have to learn how to bury teams. We take our foot off the throat. It’s affected our percentage.

A very good win, considering our last month.

A great learning game for Edwards and Rotham. Edwards learning that he will be carved up by full forwards if he does not have body contact. Rotham learning that when you have 3 -4 minutes to go you do not need to play on, especially when you then don't hit your target.

It is good to get games into these players as they are the next generation.

Happy enough with the win. Saints are no joke, and what they did to us earlier in the season had me on edge until the final minute.

Devo about Ryan though :( He was just starting to look like his usual self.

Just out of curiosity I have a question for the forum; in the 2nd quarter Josh Kennedy was awarded a mark when the sequence was grab the ball it fell forward onto his leg below the knee and it was kicked up and he had a 2nd grab and held onto the ball, technically did he kick the ball so the ball went less than 15 meters and he grabbed the ball, so should have been "play on" rather than a mark?

14.1 DEFINITION
A Mark is taken if, in the opinion of the field Umpire, a Player catches or takes control of the football:
(a) within the Playing Surface;
(b) after it has been Kicked by another Player a distance of at least 15 metres; and
(c) which has not touched the ground or been touched by another Player during the period from when the football was Kicked
until it was caught or controlled by the Player.
