Player Information |

Originally coming to the club via the rookie list, Fletcher was seen as talented but inconsistant, being one of the Eagles most noted for playing well at home and shocking away in the early part of the 2000s. However a dramatic improvement in 2003 heralded Fletcher's arrival as a top flight player, and his outstanding 2004 season just proved the Eagles right for their faith when a stunning end to the season was rewarded with All-Australian selection, probably the pinnacle of his personal career.
Continuing on to be part of the Eagles 2005 Grand Final team and 2006 Premiership team (the overall pinnacle of his career), Fletcher was in the shadows of the more heralded trio of Cousins, Judd and Kerr, but he was still an integral part of the midfield that brought home the Eagles third premiership cup. However, as time caught up with him, he struggled to retain form in the latter years of his career, being at best a bit part player by 2009, eventually retiring at the end of the season. |
